Engine wiring harness for 1967.5 1600 question

I have a 1967.5 Datsun 1600 Roadster. It belongs to my brother-in-law. At some point, a previous owner "upgraded" to the 2L engine and 5-speed trans.
The engine wiring harness has been completely destroyed by packrats. It sat outdoors for 20 years. My question is if I buy a U20 engine wiring harness will it be plug-compatible with the rest of the 1600 wiring or do I need to look for a 1600 engine wiring harness and modify it (if needed) for the 2000 engine?
As always, thanks.
Jim

If the pack rats got to the engine harness I would be very suspect of the dash harness as well. In fact you might think about all of the wiring clear back to the tail lights. I know pack rats love wire. At one time I had them chewing on wires on my truck over a weekend camp trip.

67.5 1600 and 2000 engine room harnesses are almost identical. The main difference is that the 1600 temp sending unit wire (yellow with a white tracer)is on the carb side of the engine and the 2000 wire is on the passenger side coming through firewall by the coil . Everything else is the same. I have new engine room harnesses for the 67 2000 in stock.
