Aluminum trim on bottom of doors 67.5 vs earlier

The ribbed interior aluminum on my 67.5 is in bad shape so I looked to Datsunparts to see what he has. He lists 65-67. An email asking if it would fit my 67.5 got a reply that said that the body parts were the same but that the door parts were different. He didn’t know if it was just the matter of drilling new holes in the door or not.
Does anyone know what is required to get them to fit?
Peace,
Pat

Did the pictures not open up? The company that makes these specifically made different tooling at my request for 65- 67 & 671/2. Though similar. I can offer them as interchangeable. Pat review the pictures and put them on the secure order next month.

Dean, the pictures open, but on my phone they look the same. I'm just asking what is different.

I didn't see any difference either on my phone but on my computer I see a couple small differences, neither of which SHOULD be a problem.
On the top edge of the part, at the rear of the panel, the shape of the notch is different between them. This shouldn't make a difference because it should be behind the door card.
Same on the highest point of the trim. The shape seems to be very slightly different.
I'm going to order a set on the first & will post how things work out. Hopefully the difference doesn't have something to do with the curvature of the trim that can't be seen in the photos!
Peace,
Pat

Classic Dean; not answering the question you asked and giving you grief about it. Little shady if you ask me!

Mr. Kulik, I worked very hard to make two tools, each one distinctly different from each other and yet I am told that they are the same. So I ask people to look at the pictures and let them decide for themselves rather then explain a lot details. Now back to work I go.....

It looks like Dean has had 2 different parts for those years, and clearly stated as such. I appreciate his attention to detail, and foresight to let you decide if you want to try the ones still available, after showing the difference. Pat

OK. I received the trim kit from Dean & compared the pre 67.5 trim to what was on my 67.5. They are different, but can be made to work. In regards to any comparison to Dean's parts, it is a moot point because
i purchases the last set he had in stock & he will not be ordering any more. But the information is still relevant to anyone who is trying to find replacement trim that fits their 67.5.
As Dean stated, the trim on the body matches completely. The difference is in the trim along the bottom of the doors. The pre 67.5 trim is longer horizontally than the 67.5 trim. The first photo shows this difference with the majority of the holes in the two panels lined up. I'm going to cut & roll the edge of the early panels to use on my 67.5.
The second difference is very slight & actually may not even e a difference. The two front screw holes are not exactly in the same place. The holes overlap by about half a hole. This difference my not actually exit & be the result of the curvature of the panel. I'll know for sure once the trim is fitted to the doors.
Peace,
Pat
