Anyone have any info on the 1 piece carpet kit, pros/cons, etc. I don't think I'm going that way, but curious if anyone else has.
Thanks,

I'm very close to ordering the one piece carpet for my SRL so I'd like to hear the comments from others too.

I don't have any experience but I would imagine that 1 piece would be more difficult to work with and install than the multi-piece kits. I always did wonder, like you did.

If literally everything is out of the tub, one piece will be slicker. It’s almost impossible to lay a one piece carpet down well, working around monuments.

I didn't use one, but from my experience in installing both carpet and interior panels, you would want to have all of the rest of the interior in place first. Also if there is padding over the hump cut it out and use the carpet only.

Okay Roy, you are the chosen one! Be sure to report back and let us know how it goes, what you think of it both fit and finish. Installation tips, etc.
Thanks

Looks like I'm the guy, I just ordered this from Amazon:
ACC Brand Carpet Compatible with 1966 to 1970 Datsun 1600, Roadster, Passenger Area (501-Black 80/20 Loop)
It was $160 with free shipping. I probably won't get around to putting it in for a few weeks.... or more.

I'd sure like to hear your review on the quality. They have quite a few colors to choose from too. Also let us know if any holes are pre cut please.

I just spent the past day trying to install a molded set from ACC for my 73 toyota celica and it was extremely difficult. I haven't given up yet but I'm about to start looking for a set that comes in multiple pieces instead. Hope you have better luck with yours.

Looking forward to see your results , this could be a very nice option for a driver or non stock car
Rockauto has them in 4 different version Loop and Plush with or without soundproof backing
and what's really nice is that you can get around 40 different colors https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nis ... oring,1264
this is an install of the thicker one with backing

Yes some good info. So if using Fatmat / Kilmat type butyl sound deadender, adding mass backing to the Carpet is going to probably not be necessary? Also probably makes the install a bit more difficult I would think?
