mystery knob/switch
Searched wiki and looked at owners manual pics of insturment clusters but they do not show under dash switches such as this one. Anyone that can enlighten me on what this switch is for? Located above the hood release pull. Has "FF' engraved on knob. It is a pull out, one position switch.

Four way flashers, this is all indicator lights at once (2 front and 2 rear). Now referred to as "Hazard" lights

Re: mystery knob/switch
Doesn't belong there - it should be either on the dash to the left of the steering wheel or on the console under the dash. Remember, or note, that the turn signals are routed through this circuitry

Re: mystery knob/switch
For a 67.5 it is the correct position for the FF switch.

Good catch Richard. It is indeed a 67 1/2. I should have mentioned that in my initial post.

Re: mystery knob/switch
The hazard/flashers is listed as being an option on 67.5 cars. However, every car I've seen has them and I have yet to find a schematic that shows them. Initially they shared the turn flasher. At some point they added a small harness between the switch and the dash harness to add a second can which is usually screwed to the back of the triangular piece.
I made my own drawings of it.

Re: mystery knob/switch
Looking at the single flasher diagrams, is it possible that the four way flasher "option" can be added to the '67 SPL with the correct kind of hazard switch and the corresponding wiring ? I only have a slight familiarity with the various kinds of switches that are commonly used in stuff, like SPST, SPDT, DPST,...etc., etc. Could you comment if it's possible to have FF by adding the right switch, and if so what kind ?
Thanks,
Mike
