I have searched the site a couple of times. Are there any thoughts and/or recommendations on retrofitting AC in a 2000 since the last posts in 2015?

Thanks, Happy New Year!

Mike Montez has AC in his SR20 powered Roadster. I have seen it done a couple of different ways. If you check Southernrods.com, they have some really small underdash units. I would opt for one that got rid of the stock heater box and did both.

I thought you're just supposed to put the top down.

Shannon Daughterty has A/C in his Sr20 as well. A very clean installation.

A guy showed up at the Shasta meet many years ago and had what he called his hillbilly AC. What he did was to make a box with a fan and ducts, and it used dry ice as a cooling agent. So it took in hot air and cooled it by blowing across the dry ice and it kept him nice and cool. He ran the fan via the cigarette lighter.
