Ignition Switch Identification Help

Post by iloveredmeat »

Hi All, does anyone know if this ignition switch will work for a Datsun Roadster, and if so, what years it will work for?

A google search yields only that it will work for a Datsun 520 and a Datsun Patrol...

But then I found this older 311s post (see below), however it's an older post and the links are dead ends.

Wondering if I should keep it as a spare or put it up for sale.

Thank you for any info.
Peter

The ignition switch for the earlier roadsters are key numbers 001 and 002 at this page:
http://datsun311.partsmanual.net/311Par ... fault.aspx

The following part numbers are listed (in the order they were replaced, old to new):
25150-10600
25150-12200

25160-61500 (w/Ignition key)
B5160-61500 (w/Ignition key)

The number you have, 25150-09400, was initially made for the model 320 pick up. I took this number and ran it through this link:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ ... eid=214252

Low and behold, part number 25150-12200 is listed as a replacement for 25150-09400. The part should probably fit your car.

Just an FYI. That might fit an earlier model roadster but I don't believe it will fit a high windshield model. They are different.

Ahhhhha! So, can I assume that means February of 1967?

And if so, wouldn't that definitely include the 1967s?

Thanks guys!
