I started mocking up some dash ideas in cardboard but realized I should just wait. A lack of dash won't stop the car from driving and having it open will help tremendously with wiring. Back to focusing on mechanicals.

My gut reaction was I wanted to do a coilover conversion up front, I've converted a torsion bar truck to coilovers so the roadster should be even easier. But after reading many opinions on suspension here I see no need to reinvent the wheel with all the spring and shock options available. Mike Young's springs with the Bilstein shocks sound like the setup for me.

Haven't touched the Datsun in a while. Still waiting on my engine.

Ideas. Those RZR seats fit well and are even lighter than stock. That gas filler sure look nice, I might have to copy that.

Now that I have my rear axle, and my flares showed up, I did some measurements and calculations to figure out wheels. I don't plan on ordering them till it's a running car, but I'm recording my findings here so I don't lose them. It's looking like 15x7 with 205/60 tires in the front, 15x8 with 245/60 rears, both 0 offset. The tall rears would be stuffed, but 245/50/15s don't seem to really exist.

You can get 225/45-16 Toyo R1R tires. That is what I run on the rear. Fronts are 205/45 ZR 16. They work well

That could be an option. I really want Rota Grids, but they don't have the stagger I want in 16s.

Yes open. I barely blipped it though, with just the flexplate it revs to the moon, it needs some mass before I gas it hard.

Look away if you don't like modified frames...........................

Still need to weld out fully but it's chopped and boxed for alternator clearance.
