Questions for those using 510 rear Brake cylinders

1. I know the early OEM 13/16 Rear Brake cylinders have four shim retainer clips. The photos on Rockauto show that the 510 Brake Cylinders comes with three. I have no idea if the Brake Cylinders are slightly different dimensionally from each other, or possibly a slight thickness variation in the drum back plate. SO what worked for the 510 Brake Cylinders on the Roadster, three or four clips?
2. Does the Parking Brake lever on the OEM Cylinders work with the 510 Cylinders? You pay 2x as much at Rockauto for the 510 option that includes a new lever.
3. I read an old thread were someone gave up trying to install 510 cylinders because the SAE to Metric adapter made the metal Brake line to long to install into the 510 Brake cylinders. No one else has mentioned this. I have new SS lines, will I need to cut off a 1/2" and re-flare the new lines, or is there enough flex in the SS lines to not have to alter the length?
Thanks in advance.
