Lets all be safe and remember the things we are thankful for, even in these trying times. There seems to finally be some light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, this year certainly has put a limit on traditional thanksgiving festivities for sure. However, it has given me a moment to pause and remember what it is for which I am truely grateful. Beyond the "typical" things, you know, like family, children, pets, Datsun Roadsters, health etc... the thing that hit me yesterday was a deep gratitude that, in my life so far, I have been spared from any major degree of violence or fear. I could write paragraphs on that and all the things I know that others have had to face that I have not (war, crime, gangs, prejudice to name a few). I am truely thankful for that, and thankful for and humbled by those who have experienced it, and have even chosen to put themselves in harms way for ME. I am thankful for our military members, law enforcement, health care workers, and advocates for equality for ALL members of our society across our country. And I am most thankful for the peacemakers who work to create the unity and respect that leads to more of us being able to enjoy the safety I have had throughout my life. THANK YOU.
May all of you be blessed with peace this coming year. I think it starts with "Love thy neighbor as you love thyself."

Happy Thanksgiving all! I got the roadster out and had a nice drive today, but didn't take pictures or video. Does that mean it didn't happen???

Correct. And so you are assigned a “ Do-Over”, and see if you can find some LEAVES........ :D

Happy Thanksgiving,

69 2000 Hi, I'm new to the site. I just started rebuilding this 69 2000, a lot of the parts are here, but have quite a bit rust on the rockers. I'm in the process of cutting out the rust and welding in some fresh stuff. Trying to use flux wire , may have to try fluxless wire and gas .I'm not a welder but my friend welds , I don't think he's familiar with light gauge. we're using flux wire and negative ground. I have limited funds , so this should be fun. Putting up with Seattle rain, witch makes it a scheduling nightmare. I've already got a lot of tips from this site, keep up the good work and have an enjoyable Thanksgiving. thanks Brian

Brian,
A lighter gauge wire and shielding gas will definitely help for these cars. The metal is so thin that you want to limit the heat you put into them.
I bought an Eastwood 110 volt welder a number of years ago ($330.00 at the time shipped I believe). I have gotten so much use out of it. It can do flux core as well. Thin metal welding is much more challenging than thicker metals.
