I finally got around to it. Figured if I waited until I'd done more work no-one would ever get to see her, so here's my little angel...

Very good start on your project. Keep us posted on your adventure. I may have a spare rearview mirror but the glass will be broken along with the usual pitting of the metal. You can get new glass cut and a rechrome would help. You can have it for shipping which will be a pricy to begin with. I can take a couple of pictures if you like once I locate it.

Ruth...Looks like a pretty nice car!

BTW: What would it take to get Dr. Datsun to join this forum...Miss his Datsun input & wit.

His Datsun enthusiasm even convinced me to buy a Silvia and have it shipped to the US mainland!

I've always thought a mirror mounted to the vertical center bar of the windshield would be the way to go (similar to an MGB). The dash-mounted mirror on my 1500 only gave me a view of my shoulder.

Yes, as a matter of fact it is.

If you're going to have a Technical Advisor, it might as well be a good one. Plus I don't have to pay him...well, not in cash anyway! :D
