Good afternoon, Still trying to install rebuilt carburetors. Does anyone know the length of the throttle springs and where they attach.
Thanks

The springs are best purchased from one of the vendors on this site. Too strong a spring will cause havoc with your throttle shaft.

It attaches here on the carb

And then goes down to the heat shield

Having info on your car, like engine size and year, included with your posts makes it easier to get the info you need.

I got mine from the local hardware store. They are a little stronger than the two mismatched ones that were on the car when I got it, but they have great response and feel very smooth. Best part is they took 5 minutes to find and were a total of about $3.

You must have found the right spring. The old ones must loose their strenght overtime. We'll be working on buddy's new Roadster project after we finished installing the brake kit and vision wheels on the truck and clear the garage. Got to go to the city for larger hardware store that have more parts.
