1968 SRL coil readings

Post by v8_ranch »

Just want to confirm what spec readings are for these. I think I am a little high on my primary but haver seen some varying readings on different threads when I ddi a search. I do not believe I am getting spark from coil (checked with my spark plug insert tool in the secondary coil lead).

I am getting 2.8 ohms on my primary, and 9.18 kohms on my secondary.

Just rechecked, definitely not getting spark from coil. Is there a go to coil everyone can get form a Autozone or Oreilly's?

Had some time tonight and some coaching from a nice Roadster guy... found points stuck together. Now have spark to all 4 plugs (wanted to make sure). Not sure if the other coil was also bad or not, but will check that tomorrow. On to the fuel system...
