No voltage from key to solenoid

No voltage from key to solenoid
If I turn the key to the ACC or ON position, I can turn on lights, fans, wipers... If I turn to Start, no voltage coming to the 3 wire plug under master cylinder that sends two of those wires to solenoid. I have looked through several search results and not really seeing anything. I have proper voltage across all of the fuses. I have battery voltage at the starter, just not getting the solenoid voltage.

Are you testing the wire or the connector ?
I use a wireless test lite and Pierce the insulation to check ....ohms test too
There are wire piercing add on's to a multi meter probe
Any voltage drop before no current ?
Replace the wire out to the solinoid

Start at the switch. Is power coming out of the switch?

Ignition switches go bad. Undoubtedly a no-contact on START position.

Background? Have you been driving it regularly and this is sudden? or are you working your way through issues of a car that is new to you? Don't order the new switch until you have tested for voltage at the switch tab that is supposed to have it when in the start position and you get nothing.

C, new to me car that has sat. Went through a lot of the electrical yesterday. Have all lights, vent fan, hazards, wipers working, no issues as far as smoke, smells, etc. signals are not working but figure it is a flasher relay since everything else is working.
So with all wiring Intact and plugged in, I should have battery volts on thr black and yellow wire coming back from switch to the 3 wire plug under the master cylinder - is that correct or am I looking at it wrong?

While I am at it, can someone add a picture of where you are adding the 30amp fuse to the ammeter circuit? Looks like it needs to go on a white and red wire somewhere?

Do ohms test on the grounding at the starter
Power flows neg to pos
I hook up a high beam headlite bulb to a wire that alligators onto the solenoid terminal then see if it lites up well when the keys on start . Volts won't tell you if it gets the current it needs to work

Here is a picture of the wire I think I am trying to find battery voltage on when ignition key turned to START. Is this the right one? I should get BATT volts on this with key to START, right? I am getting nothing. I did notice ammeter deflection when I function checked the lights, so I think it is OK.
On another note (the location of 30amp inline fuse), I found the white/red wire on left side of fuse block (3rd fuse down), but from there it goes up into dash above fuse block. From there, I cannot find that wire anywhere else as far as engine bay goes. Is that the right wire that it is recommended to insert the 30 amp fuse in? Where is that insertion taking place on your cars?

OK, based on this diagram, with he WR wire from ammeter to Ign switch, and the 3rd slot on fuse block... looks like all of the White/Red wire must be up and inside the dash, so I am assuming most people are just adding a 30 amp inline between the fuse block terminal and the W/R wire landed on that spot, there inside the glove box?

You should have it here or else you won't be covering the switched circuits, only the hot ones. You can access this under the driver's dash near the gauge in question.
