OEM 5 Speed Driveshaft Value vs. Repop

I posted this on our local forum and thought I would see what I can get here too.

Sitting here recovering from my knee replacement. I dropped my refurbished 5 speed driveshaft off today to see if they can make one and the cost. I cannot remember what I paid for it. It was at least $100 and probably more. It has been a few years since I bought it. It cost me around $100 to have it checked over and balanced. Fortunately the U joints and spline were good.

So if you have one and would be willing to sell it what would you value it at? Used without check or has been checked? Trying to figure out if the cost of a repop is in the range. No estimate yet on cost but it would have a new spline and standard U joints plus be stronger.

So anyone have anything you can tell me? Thanks, C.....

I had one made here in San Jose a few months ago for around $400. In addition to being a beefier unit, U-joints and Spline all have the ability to be lubed.

I figure if I have one made it will be the same. Standard U joints with zerk fittings and stronger.
