I am getting a leak at the speed cable / housing so am trying to check the seals. I did this before in w 2012 but I guess the seals go bad after some time. Anyway I can ‘t seem to get the 90 deg housing off, it rotates but should it be levered off? The keeper bolt and tab are off. Also looks to be very close to the frame, car is jacked up on left side, if that could be an issue.
Should tranny be in neutral for more rotation or not?
Can’t remember how it all was done previously lol
Thx
Linda

Re: Speedo 90 deg housing removal
OK got the 90 deg out by undoing the big nut with channel lock pliers. Should have known to do that for those following along
So small seal goes in this pic, letters facing out on the pinion gear itself inside the tranny after pulling it out?
Looks like the pinion
