Door Lock Plunger Thread Size

Does anyone know the thread size of the metal post that holds the decorative plunger for the door lock? The car came with one plunger .... time to find or make a second one.
I believe they are 8-32. My car is the same way (missing one). I bought a cheap set from the auto parts store and they turned out to be 10-24.
