spark plug gap

Got the rebuilt r16 with Pertroics dizzy ready to drop into the '66 survivor this weekend. Hope to fire it up soon. What spark plug gap is best for this set-up? TIA Pat

Pat, I run .040 in mine. I prefer NGK plugs. You don't happen to have a spare 68 ignition switch, do you? Pat

Hey Pat, what part of the switch is bad? I replaced the back electrical terminals/switching part on our '69-1600 with a US120 replacement.

Every now and then, there is no power to coil when cranking. It has never lost power to coil in the "run" position. Mine is a 68, and I read somewhere that there are 2 styles of the electrical portion. You show one style, the "l" is what the mechanical switch goes into, but there might be a different front side style. I have a used one, but want to make sure I have what I need if I tear it apart. Sorry, You show the "t" style, there is also an "l" style. I think my spare is the "l", so Maybe I buy the one you show? Does it plug right in to the factory connector? I recall all my terminals go the same direction? Pat

It is not a single plug but individual connectors for each terminal. The terminals are marked so you just transfer them one by one.

*I am probably wrong about that. It would make sense to have a single plug but maybe someone cut mine off and put on the individual connectors.
