I tried searching to no avail before asking the following question.
My 67.5 came with the Fairlady badge on the fenders.
Left hand drive. These were not likely retrofitted. My car is original paint and when the badges were pulled the holes look factory and there is a “ghost†image of nice paint under it on the faded paint. See picture of the loose parts in the trunk when I bought it. The car sat for 23 years since it was last touched.
No evidence of bondo over old holes or welds. It’s like a Japanese market car with left hand drive.
So...would this be a European model? Remarkably little online and image searches are not helping. The fenders are correct flair 67.5 fenders.

Re: Fairlady fender badge question
Several sellers of repop versions of this badge advertise it as:
"The metal version of this emblem #638-13 was original equipment on 63-65 USA Datsun 1500's and was original equipment on 63-70 1500/1600/2000s that stayed in Japan or were exported to certain other countries. What countries are we talking about?

As far as I remember, all the Japanese market cars had front sidemarker lights and fender mirrors, LHD and RHD

Re: Fairlady fender badge question
Another badge question. On the 66/67 1600 is the back panel badge "Datsun 1600" pin out the same as the after market Fairlady badge? Or is drilling new holes, filling old holes required to use it? The one Dean has requires drilling and filling unfortunately, maybe other sources?
