Best seat belts/harness for 1600

Well, now that I have new tires, it is time to think about new seat belts/harnesses for the car. So in looking at Summit Racing I find--7 pages of seat belts, harnesses etc. Yikes.
So for the stock mounting points and with a roll bar what is the best harness? I have no idea about Y, dual shoulder, 5 point, submarine or any of the other terminology, or the various brands. What do most of you use? I just want to be well protected even though I don't drive fast, with minimal or no drilling, if possible.

Well, with "no drilling" you don't want 5pt...

Y-type or dual shoulder is kind of a personal preference thing. The difference as the name would imply is the should belts are either a Y shape (two on you, one on the bar), or seperate straps for each side (two one you, two on the bar). I don't really like the Y type in a roll bar car. Just looks kinda silly to me...

I would say buy the best brand you can afford (Simpson, Sparco, etc.), and try to get a camlock. More expensive, but worth it in a car you have to get in and out of alot. I would also say don't get these cheesy 2" belts with the stock type latches, but that's also a bit of a preference issue.

Also, the anti-submarine strap is the 5th strap in a 5pt. Goes between your legs to keep you from going under the dash in a front-end collision. I prefer them, but you will have to drill at least one hole to mount it.

If you are not going racing, you may want to consider getting some standard retractable belts from a JY...

Also, DEIST will reweb your old hardware...

Many junk yards will not sell used seat belts due to liability issues. Generic seat belts can be purchased from auto parts chains such as Pep Boys and Advance Auto Parts. JC Whitney had some listed as well.

Well, I haven't mounted my rollbar yet, but I went with a pair of "cheesy" 2" wide, 4-point harnesses from Deist, which I bought at the Long Beach Hot Rod swap meet, $90 for both seats. The Y point goes between the stock headrest rods, so you are not constantly searching for straps which have slid off the shoulder of the seat. I looked at retractable set-ups, but that would involve drilling the floor, and there is no logical place for the shoulder mounted 'back end of the door' loop, so you'd be chasing them around the side of the seat as well.
I like 'em, easy to use, comfy, infinitely adjustable, everyone knows how to use them without pre-flight safety presentation, and the roadster seats (at least mine) are such a sink-down-in bucket that the submarine belt would be of no use.
The Y strap only makes a slight angle between the seat back and the seat belt mounting bolt on the rear inner fender, and the big-and-strong bolt is loaded in shear, so that's good.
