Seats

Just for expediency I picked up a pair of Miata seats because they were "supposed" to be a direct bolt in, planning to rebuild the originals this coming winter. A side benefit was supposed to be better comfort for my wife. Well, I can sit in it all day but my wife has gone with me just once because her lower spine started hurting after a half hour. We believe that more lumbar support is needed. What are my options?

Ebay.
There are a variety available, blowup foam and such.

Thinking of getting one myself.
I have terrible back pain and when I sit in the SP310 I MUST have lumbar support

As stated recently, a block of foam and an electric carving knife and you can carve a separate “ lumbar support” cushion. Get some matching vinyl and an upholsterer to sew it up. Or add a smaller formed block underneath the seat cover. Test out the pieces with your wife till she finds the right density and thickness, then figure out the covering.
Comfort in the Roadster is important, so worth pursing in whatever form ( seats, wind screen, music etc) .
Also a justification for Bilstein shocks ha,ha,ha.....

Anything to justify Bilstein shocks.

Miata seats are not a direct bolt-in Some people even cut the bottom of the seat out so that it can be mounted lower.
