With 12" of snow, and an unheated garage, there is not much to do with my roadster except think. I would like to come up with a unique vanity plate. My car is a '69 2000 which will be painted silver this coming spring. I do not want to duplicate a plate that already exists, but want one that will reflect one the car's model, color, heritage etc. I am limited to 7 characters (letters or numbers) and am up for suggestions. Some ideas I have are SLVRSLR, 69SLR, HIHOSRL or HIHOSLR, SLVR311. Any of the creative minds out there have a good suggestion?? Thanks Pat Mahoney

Here in Florida, you can use year of manufacture plates. My 67.5 has a NOS 67 Florida license plate that is registered to it. Looks pretty trick! I plan to do the same with the 1500...

YOM plates are pretty cool, if available.
How about SYANARA? I have ROADSTA on my Miata - surprised that one wasn't taken.

When I bought my car, the owner left the original plate on it, and they're from 1967 and I'd like to keep it. Do you guys know off the top of your heads whether or not i can have that tagged or if I'll have to replace it. Thanks in advance michigan 67

I like the SLVRSLR the best, the SLVRLDY next as that was also the name of the California Zephyr...
As bad as this is, there is a 510 out there with DERUXE

Maybe
ASRL311 or
A69SRL (69SRL-EH in Canada) or just
ITSA69 ?

Here in Cali, there is a rule that you may only use the numbers '69' in your custom plate if your car is titled as a 1969.
Guess they had a few issues with double entendres

Other ones that come to mind as a gentle jab at our British friends. MGEATR, or MG4LNCH. Pat

Since there are not to many roadsters in NY , I was able to get
" DATSN 2K ". I am not sure this is original, I think I may have seen this plate on a CA roadster.
