Excited New Roadster Owner!!!

Post by Rainna »

Hi everyone! My name is Shelly I live in northern Illinois and I have recently bought my uncles '68 Roadster 2000!! I grew up in this car and when he told me he was selling it I just knew I had to buy it from him!!! I am super excited to have this amazing car BUT it is in a lot of need of some TLC!!!! I have already done some work to it but now I am finding it hard to fine the right parts to rebuild the carburetor. I am very glad I found this site with all it's vendors to help me get my Roadster back in driving condition!! I can't believe how much work needs to be done to get it road worthy!! If y'all can give me any advice or hints it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!

Welcome Shelly, you have found the singe best resource for Datsun Roadsters in the World. Plus we're a pretty good group of very supportive people to boot. Post pictures of your ride when you get a chance!

Hi Shelly,
Congrats on your new purchase. Suggest that you attempt to find other members in your area for expert advice.
Then be sure to read this site thoroughly for vendors, parts info, special writeups for installations and an archive with most questions answered.
Have fun :)

Wow, another Northern Illinois roadster. There are a few of us near you. I’m in Cary, IL and there’s a one in Palatine, another in Carpentersville, Libertyville and one out in DeKalb. Plus a few up in the Madison WI area. PM me your contact info and we can add you to any of our autumn meetups. Or let us know if we can help you out with anything.
