Front spindle thread size

Threads on my '67 1600 left front spindle are a little grrrrrr'd, so I want to clean them up. My measurements say 3/4 in x 20 TPI.
Can anyone confirm/deny that?
Update: Took an hour, but was able to clean up threads with small file.
