Rear ends

Post by Doggggboy »

Are there any differences between 67 rear ends and 67.5 or up?
I have 2 rears, supposedly both 67's. One has the vent on the left side of the pumpkin, the other on the right. The right side vent rear end also has finned aluminum drums and another bracket on the top of the left side. I'm not sure if the drums came with that rear end originally or were swapped. Not sure if the gearing is the same but that should be easy to figure out.

Yes. The easiest thing to see is a torque strut on the r/h side. If you have the bracket it is a 67.5 or later. That one should have aluminum finned drums. The iron drums were on the 67 and earlier cars.
