Odd question,
Looking to replace my stock steering wheel with a wood rim. The part is in my restoration process I gave my steering wheel to a 311s.org member. Now I am at the point to buy a wheel but do not remember the size of stock one was. Also curios about the idea of going 1" smaller. Any one wish to add their input would be nice.
Thanks

I have a wood Momo wheel that is 370 mm. It was a big improvement in feel from the stock wheel which seemed too large for me.
There are some nice Momos at 330-360 mm. Ideal is to be able to try one out if you can. Ebay has a nice selection of wood wheels both new and old. Here’s one:

Keep in mind, the smaller the wheel the harder the turning effort. If you are running close to stock tires then it may not be very noticeable, but if you have wide tires the low speed turning effort may be significant.

Prior to Coronavirus, a car show with Italian and British cars was a great way to see old steering wheels and how they fit the car.
Otherwise if there are some you like, Alvin probably has some pics.
And just browsing Ebay for “auto wood steering wheels†should provide plenty of pics
