New to the Forum; long time with SRL/SPL toys.

Post by TriniGriffin »

Greetings to all, and best to all during this trying time. First intro was perhaps too long in words and time. So, here goes: first SPL was 1982 in Ohio, acquired two rust buckets (stripped MUCH from them, still have several bits). USAF orders, moved around overseas (kept bits!), 1990 orders to Los Angeles, retired and here since. During that span, picked up three others, salvaged bits from one, passed on another, and currently caring for ONLY one 68 SRL, White with Red and Black accents.
Attended and registered/showed car many times at Solvang, way back to 2001-02, memory challenge! Also did the 2nd JCCS at Q. Mary, and five-six times since then. Many wonderful miles and smiles enjoyed over the years.( Many SP/SRL stories to recount).
Confession: enjoyed 'guest' status for too many years, and happy to finally feel the spur in my side to act!

Thanks very much.

Welcome Dave, thank you for your service! We have a daughter (captain) in the USAF currently stationed in Italy. We had hoped to visit, then came covid. Maybe in September?

Italy! very wonderful! We spent five yrs in Germany, '86-'90, and thoroughly enjoyed travel experiences around Europe (both work for myself, and personal with the family).
