Help Identifying a Rear Chassis Harness
I've only owned early year roadsters so I am not familiar with the late model nuances. I have an old NOS rear harness I picked up with other parts years ago from a local Nissan dealer. Part number 24014 - A4500. It looks to be similar to the 69-70 model year harnesses but I am not sure. There are two(2) connectors to the engine harness, tail light wiring is three-wire and three-wire. There are a set of license plate lamp wires as well as a set of red / black and black/ yellow wires, and a ground. All connectors are bullet, except the engine harness connections. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Help Identifying a Rear Chassis Harness
Two 3 pin connectors at firewall is a 68. 69-70 has one 3 and one 2 pin and white wires.
Doesn't seem like a roadster harness.

Looking at the label it is a Japanese market harness for SR311. Label says Yamaguchi Nissan Jidosha.

Re: Help Identifying a Rear Chassis Harness
Well that makes sense. I think I bought this in Japan, but couldn’t remember what it went to. Thought it was an SR311. So does anyone know the difference between the US vs. Japan SR311’s? Or the year? Seems like it should be interchangeable. Was thinking the extra wires were potentially side markers?

Looks like a late one, maybe 70. What color and striping are in each connector?

Re: Help Identifying a Rear Chassis Harness
Curtis, Are you referring to the tail light connectors, if so, the top two pictures show the colors for each wire. If you are referring to the engine harness connectors they are as follows;
3-wire connector: Green/White stripe, White/Black stripe, and White/Red stripe
4-wire connector: Green/Black stripe (Red band), Green/Red stripe (Red band), Yellow, and Red/Black strip
3-wire connector: Green/White stripe, White/Black stripe, and White/Red stripe
4-wire connector: Green/Black stripe (Red band), Green/Red stripe (Red band), Yellow, and Red/Black strip

Re: Help Identifying a Rear Chassis Harness
Engine harness? Thought we were just talking about rear.
Apparently the Japanese roadster is wired different than the US roadster. 68 would have 6 wires going to back and the 69-70 5 wires. Based on the license light wires this is a 69-70.
Based on the photos this has brake and tail on the bottom and turn and tail on the top lights. Like to see a schematic for the Japanese one.

Re: Help Identifying a Rear Chassis Harness
This is a rear chassis harness that connects to the engine harness.

Re: Help Identifying a Rear Chassis Harness
I think those are US versions, but I believe Curtis mentioned he had a Japanese market version. Thank you though.

No, I don't have one. I'll bet someone on here has one.Linusrp wrote: Wed May 20, 2020 5:56 pm I think those are US versions, but I believe Curtis mentioned he had a Japanese market version. Thank you though.

Re: Help Identifying a Rear Chassis Harness
You could make that in to a US harness pretty easily.
