Hello,

New owner here. 1970 1600 purchased from VT but it was from CA apparently. Needs work but it runs. Was hoping someone could help me source a few things namely some original wheels and hubcaps (apparently the ones on it are from a 240Z) as well as a few other items.

Also, would you recommend my local, trusted mechanic to work on it (tune up, brakes, etc.) or should i seek out a specialist.

Many thanks!

Jeff

Welcome to the addiction! A little time spent in the tech wiki will save you a lot of time and teach you a ton about these cars. At the very least I recommend a classic car specialist if a Roadster specialist is not readily available. Unless your local mechanic has experience with the “ancient technologies“ of carburetion and Points ignition, they will likely walk away from your car scratching their head.
