I've been pretty happy with the vintagecarleds. I do suspect you could easily assemble something similar for less, tho.

I did a similar setup but when I went to turn on the lights the parking lights work, but not my main beams? They were working before I did the upgrade, however, I did here a clicking sound coming from the headlight relay module. Now I don't. Is it fried? Could the led have fried the relay module? I thought they use less power and I would not have to change anything?

Do you think it could be a bad ground? The light switch? The thing is, the original lights were working before, and now they don't. Also, it's original 54 year old wiring. Should I think of replacing it? I saw a video on youtube saying the LEDs draw more power and you can't have older wiring. Is this true?

LED's draw literally no power, compared to stock. Mine were a drop in, no other changes needed. I did have an episode where headlights quit working unless I slammed my hood. It was the Molex connectors at the fenders. Loose 54 yr old connections. If your lights worked before, they should work after. Check your connections, including the plug in the headlight housing. That’s impressive. Even my high beams don’t illuminate like that.

I finally got around to looking at my problem and what it was was the cover I fabricated for my headlight relay. It wasn't allowing it to click because the cover was too small. I took the cover off and the lights worked. I love them. What at a difference, and for less than $100 CDN it's priceless...lol Anybody have the original relay cover?

I have aftermarket tri bar black dot headlights that use an H4 bulb. Will this work... on Amazon: NINEO Fanless H4 LED Bulbs ,10000LM 60W Wireless 9003 Lights All-in-One Conversion Kit | Chips 6500K Cool White Halogen Replacement -Pack of 2.

These don't have any fans or extra wires, and they claim they are plug and play for any H4. I would like to improve my headlights. Thanks!

Greg those 60W ones you are talking about sound like they will pull as much power or more than the stock bulbs. Is your wiring up to that load? 60W LED would be insanely bright compared to a 60W incandescent bulb. I use the same ones Unklpat has which need less power than stock but are way brighter but i am not an expert.

Sorry Greg I misspoke. My Auxlights are 50W 8000lmns or 25W per bulb. Your 60W 10000lmns are probably 30W per bulb so less than stock.

Thanks guys... I really don't know what parameters or specs I should be searching for, so suggestions are welcome. The reason why I selected those was because they don't have fans, a big extention on the back side of the unit, and looked like they would just replace my H4s just as if I were putting in a halogen. I don't drive much at night, but my lights could definitely use some help. I love the look of tri bar headlights with the black dot... it changes the look of the front of the car, almost like it gives it eyes. I stole the idea many years ago when I saw them on Dr. Tom's car (Mt. Shasta meet, great guy with an award winning black '70 2000). However, they are probably not designed to give the best lighting possible so improving output would likely help.

I added these black and white photos as color without the flash was bad, and the flash would flare off the reflectors some...
