So .. if the Coronavirus allows I’ll be over in LA on around the 15th of May .. and apologies if this has been asked before - I did a search and couldn’t get the answer ... but are you able to simply visit the shop and potentially purchase parts ?

Pretty sure you can make arrangements to meet at his place of business. Surely he will see this and reply to you.

Yes of course we welcome you. I would ask that you make an appointment. Max, our warehouse fulfillment person, is very busy so I have to clear it with him what time is best. We are available Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. This Friday we will be out at the injection molders to pick up some parts and survey some new tooling. Send an email a few days before you arrive to set up your visit to us: sales@datsunparts.com

AND, equally, his website is comprehensive, detailed and explanatory.

SO, at a minimum, explore the website and try and come up with as many part numbers that you need from his website. Ya gotta do SOME work - lol

And then, you will go to his store and see a bunch of STUFF hanging up and likely be - OH! , i'll have one of those.

Minor case in point, in the doors there is a little 'sprung' plastic bit that keeps the door opening 'wire/cable' from rubbing on the window and the little plastic 'limiter' that stops the window from rising too far and potentially allows it to slip past the limits of the regulator. Stuff like that, that frankly I would not expect to be duplicated.

AND, PERHAPS, if you plan it, we might be able to arrange a 'get together' so you might meet some of the local fanatics. Mike S?? your place??

It's a small shop with a bizillion parts. It's not normally a place opened for browsing for regular customers so appreciate the invite. It's a small warehouse stocked tight for the employees to grab a part and ship. I agree, have a list of what you want ahead of time.

I went once years ago and Dean and his guy were crazy busy. I didn't mind because Dean was doing me a big favor and getting me a new windshield in an extremely short time. Shortly after, I had the windshield installed by someone who could not get it installed with the trim in place. I called Dean again and he got me someone who could.
Anyway. Appreciate the invite and do go visit some 311 owners while your here.
