Has anybody added this to any of their engines and noticed a difference? The technology behind it sounds interesting. Amazon reviews say there is 65% 5 star rating compared to a 19% one star rating? It seems that it depends on the type of car you have and the miles you have on it. For $100 US or $130 CDN is it worth it?

The metal coating friction modifying liquids( treats the metal) have been around since the late 70s
Justice bros. products gave a very good demonstration. Of it working helps the oil film moving parts ( piston skirts, rings , valve stems ) incase of lack of normal oil lubeing

I have tried the Hyperlube Zinc replacement additive. I have a very high lift cam that is hard on the rockers etc. So far, combined with VR1 20/50 race oil, my rockers are not wearing like they did before. I will continue to watch it. It does NOT contain Zinc, it is a different approach.

Before using the product, I researched it and others on Bob the oil guys site. As I posted elsewhere, one of the things I learned on that site is that off the shelf additives can actually make your oil protection WORSE by screwing up the additive package contained in the oil in the first place. He demonstrated that several times. The Hyperlube did not do that. His top 3 tested oils were all Valvoline VR1 racing oils (10/30, only weight he tests), with the non street legal being #1, conventional #2 and synthetic #3. The amount of Zinc was not the main predictor of wear protection. The Valvoline were all better than the Amsoil, Brad Penn, etc.

I think that most items on Amazon have a similar spread of reviews. People who notice changes in performance due to a product for any use virtually never have a means of performing any meaningful test.

Agreed. That's why I like people like Bob the oil guy. He does specific, repeatable tests.
