Question For Those Who Have Owned A "Stock" 311

Post by Dave »

Hey gang,

I'm working on a 1/24 scale plastic roadster model kit and I want to paint everything correctly. My question is in regards to the under side of the car. How did the 311s (tall windshield) come from the factory? Was the underside undercoated? Was the undercoating body color, black (gloss, matt, flat?). How about the frame rails, X-Member, etc?

Thanks!

Sorry Alvin, my psychic abilities must be failing as I did not sense you were building one too. Had I known, I would have consulted you.

No, this one is going to be a stocker. I would like to replicate mine some day, but not now. Have you found a 1/24 scale model with an SR in it? I've never seen a Sylvia model to donate the engine.

Those are great, Alvin!

How did you do the roll bar on the silver one you did for Gerardo? Where did you get the wheels and tires from?

Alvin,

One day I may have to ship you the ones that I have to replicate my cars. With two young girls in the house, there just aren't enough hours in the day...

BTW, if you can get your hands on it, find the October 2001 issue of model cars from Japan. That has some INCREDIBLE Roadster models in it! You may find an idea or two from looking at the pics.

I have said it before, and will say it again. You do AWESOME work!!
