Interior and Soft Top Wiki

I think we need an interior wiki, partially or mostly because I need it now and other people have needed it.

Right now I'm in need of photos of the back shelf for the 66-67 including the luggage strap if they had it. Also the posts and twists inside the car for the tonneau cover One for each year including all the soft top hardware.

The carpet, firewall board, seats for each year with proper vinyl on them. The works would be nice.

Grrr, three bodies and none of them has holes for luggage straps which makes me conclude that 66-67 either didn't have them or they were an option.

I snapped a couple of pictures of my luggage straps. I may have been too close for you to orientate. Not sure if it helps but let me know if you need specific measurements.

Unless I am mistaken, those straps all started with the 67.5 model year

You are not mistaken I have learned. Well gee, I have a set of luggage straps I can install that don't belong or get rid of them. Can't remember what I paid for them.

Hmmmm,
The 97758-12900 go in the rear deck.
You didn't buy any 97753-12900? Well then, I'd try the 99751-12900 on the door near the fly window.
This is just my 2 cents. Please do not place them until someone else confirms.

97751-12900 Click on Image to see full size, the extra length will help getting the tiny nut on.

While on this topic the pics that Shaun has posted show a bare metal edge between the side to side vertical and horizontal surfaces. I have the carpet piece that goes on the vertical surface, but I have not yet purchased the interior kit which includes the shelf cover. Should I expect a strip to remain bare unless I glue some vinyl down?

The shelf cover that I got from Dean has a vinyl flap attached that will cover the gap. I did however, have trouble getting the twisties to go far enough through the trunk wall to get the nuts on. I had to take a few layers of the (cardboard?) backing off so the twisties could be slightly recessed. I suggest checking your twisties for length before installation and saving any longer ones for the trunk wall.
