Any T-Shirt ideas?

Post by Redtail »

My brother told me about a site on the internet that will print up T-shirts from jpeg images - he got one a while back and it looks pretty good. Anything that is not copywrited is fair game - here are three images I thought would be cool - any other ideas?

right now i think the carbs would look cool on the back, and a small oil pump on the front breast.

this might take longer, might be more expensive, and it might not be on the same line as you are talking about but try to get a pic of everybodies roadsters and then make a collage and then on the front have all the roadster region organizations. Just a thought, good luck!

Who is that guy in the nooworks link??

I was going to use Zazzle.com because you can print a single shirt just for yourself. I think with cafepress you have to sign up for multiples - or am I mistaken? Either way zazzle has more color choices for the shirts.

GAdude, the photo collage would be cool, but I think a b/w line drawing would show up better on the shirt. I think the old school exploded view diagrams from 60's repair manuals are super cool.

just throwin some ideas out....I agree about the exploded parts tho, but i was just thinkin about it. Walking around town (or in my case school) a tshirt with a oil pump or SU carb ppl wont associate with roadsters or datsun for that matter..... I have an idea for another diagram, but it is "on the tip of my brain"!!

How about a Solex Powered U20 in the back :) . I love the look of the u20 with solex side drafts.

I know! There's a great cut-away pic of one in the back of my manual, but since i have an S.U. 1600....i'd feel like a poser.

I'm not real concerned with people knowing what it is actually, it might even seem cooler to me if they had to ask.

here's a couple I scanned of a Solex-U20. I can do them better if anybody is interested - but I'd have to tear the pages out of my manual.

does anyone know why Datsun didn't use a cross-flow head design?

Alvin,

I have no idea why Datsun did not do a cross flow. If I had to guess, I would say that their primary market was the niche that the Brits had a lock on, and they did not have cross flow heads. It sure would be nice fi they were though...

Perhaps someone could get the word from Phil Brook? He is in a much better position to answer as he has spoken with folks at Nissan. Heck, they barely are willing to sell me parts!

I am still scratching my head over the multitude of changes for such a low production vehicle...
