Not Much Wheel Selection
So the guys in the local roadster club like to tease me about trying to be original. Seems like most of them think that the cars should always be brought back to original condition. I see that there is only about 4 different kinds of wheels that people use for roadsters. Is it because it is hard to find the certain offset or people just dont have much of an imagination? I've started the hunt for something different than what most use.

Please visit this thread. It has a few more than "4 different kinds of wheels" for roadsters.ahgrafx wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 1:49 pm I see that there is only about 4 different kinds of wheels that people use for roadsters.

Re: Not Much Wheels Selection

Sarcasm aside, I'm looking forward to the "not much wheel selection" and "only four kinds of wheels" solution!

Very excited that the forum finally has an “artist†with some “imagination†to raise the bar around here!

Re: Not Much Wheels Selection
I think the reason that most roadsters have one of a few sets of wheels is because when most people by a classic car they want it to look like what they remember. Personally, I feel that modern wheel designs on most any classic car just looks wrong. Of course there are exceptions. I want my car to look and DRIVE like it did when I first bought it in 1972. To me a big part of a classic car is to experience what a car felt and looked like in its era. Some just want an old body on a modern chassis with a newer drivetrain and that's ok too. Too each his own, ther're all cool!

"Period correct" is what Mike is referring to. And noted "to each his own" as it should be.
I would also note that a few undies are getting twisted into a bundle as can happen with words or interpretation of words or intent... unbundle please. People are too easily offended and this hobby is about fun and community.
