A late hello!

Hi everyone! I guess I never really got around to introducing myself. I’ve always been into small weird cars, and the first time I saw one of these, I had to have it! So the time finally came when I traded my Fiero with a small block 350 swap for this basket case right here.

So far, I’ve made it run AND drive lol. I’ve been working on just making it look good enough to take out of the garage. I’ll need to replace just about every piece of metal eventually, but for now, I’ll be just enjoying it.

Thanks for welcoming me into your community!

Welcome! You are going about this correctly, get it running, bond with it then start upgrades/repairs/restorations.
Personally I don't care too much about looks if it drives and can be enjoyed.

Looks pretty straight in the photos. Agree with notoptoy about the bonding. Once you start enjoying the car it'll make the restoration that much more exciting. Welcome aboard!

Welcome. If you have the time, try to make it up to Watkins Glen NY the weekend after Labor day, there will be about 55 of us there, 25 or so cars.

Welcome! As soon as I saw your avatar and your brief intro I knew I'd like you, and then I saw your name and it all made sense! Look forward to hearing about your progress and the budding love affair with the Datsun. Can't imagine what the V8 Fiero was like, don't think I've ever heard of or seen such a swap... pics?

The only picture I have if it in 6 years of ownership is when it was getting loaded on the trailer to go to its new home😂😂 It was super fast, but I miss having roadsters (2 Miatas and an S2000) so I had been in the market for an old roadster and the common ones (you know, with cheap and plentiful parts) just didn’t do it for me. My only major complaint about the fiero was that there was no way around using an electric water pump, which failed twice.

Edit: I’ll try another time to load the picture of my old Fiero, it’s not working right now
