I’m in the process of redoing the front suspension. Putting it back together rather and not sure what the best/easiest way to get the front sprint back in. How do you guys do it? Thanks

Three methods com to mind, all use the weight of the car to compress the springs.
With the car securely mounted on jack stands:

1. If the lower a-arm shaft is attached to the frame, with the upper ball joint unbolted,
Lift below the lower a-arm below the lower ball joint with a floor jack to compress the spring.
Then bolt on the upper BJ once lifted enough.

2. Same as above except the lower BJ is unbolted from the spindle assembly and attached once the lower a-arm is lifted
Into position.

3.If the lower a-arm shaft is not bolted to the frame, but both ball joints are mounted, use the
floor jack to raise the lower a-arm shaft up to the frame and them bolt it in place. This might be the
most difficult of the three methods- use a large philips head screwdriver to align the shaft holes to the frame.

I've done all three. Methods 1 & 2 are definitely easier. 3 is fine if the balljoints are not loose.

Best, Jt

Coil spring compressors work pretty well also, and don't cost much
