i am looking for a source and you opinions on what i should do for my 1500's rear end. i was thinking 4.11's with a mini spool since i am too poor to afford real posi. but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas and also what companies offer these products for our cars. also what model diffie was in the spl-310 and is it the same as the 311's? thanks in advance.

What are your plans for the car? If it is for the street, you may want to keep the stock gears. Limited Slip diffs were available for the 1500, but good luck finding one. I believe that the diff is designated as an H-190, but it is different from the 1600 and 2000 models and not interchangeable. If you swap entire rear ends (entails a driveshaft change too), you can get the options that the later cars have, but the later diff is narrower (look at the offset on the 1500 wheels and you will understand why) and the car will look a little odd with the wheels tucked in that tight.

BTW, what is wrong with the wounded pony? I used to own one of those and may be able to offer some help there too.
