So glad this thing was in a closed up building all this time (23years). Got it running, engine surprisingly runs good. Tranny not so good took it straight to my transmission guy. Finding lots of interesting things that were done to this car. Will start sharing once I get it back. Cannot believe the wealth of information on this website! Amazing.

Did you pre-lube the motor prior to starting it?

C. Costine, absolutely yes, cars are what this guy and his sons do. They have been buying and storing cars for over 30 years having over 100 cars stored at one point. To go on their main property is a car guys dream, I was like a kid in a candy store. I could not believe the diversity of the collection. If you ever thought: “if I knew then what I know now†I would have bought this car or that car. Well, that is exactly what this guy did. He picked em right, stored em right and restores them wonderfully.
Im so lucky they let this gem go, they said if they didn’t have their other all original hardtop roadster, they wouldn’t have sold me this one.

Any pics of that one?
BTW that paint looks fantastic! Mine got some bumps and bruises while sitting for 30 years.

Nope it was covered up behind other cars. Wish I could’ve seen more of there hidden treasures, so many buildings, so many covers, so many closed locked doors.
Yes the paint was one of the pleasant surprises, also pleasant was the working turn signals, head, tail and brake lights.

I think if those guys were good investors their warehouse would be full of Porsches, not Datsuns lol.

Don't know, the appreciation, in percentage, on the Datsun might be higher. From what I've seen, Porsche's never seemed to really drop down to dirt cheap whereas roadsters in the early 80's were almost worthless.
Nice car, my favorite wheels.

... is that a brand new paint job??? Wow looks amazing. Looks like they know how to store cars. You can tell bc the dust is perfectly settled on the car and no hand swipes across it or anything placed on top which would heavily scratch up the car. Great find!
