Exact Fit Steering Wheel Leather Wrap

So, as everyone has been coming up with different solutions for wheel wraps, I thought surely there must be a reasonable off the shelf solution. I ended up purchasing a few different size wraps and found one that fits great off the shelf with no measuring or cutting involved.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L8 ... UTF8&psc=1
This wrap has been referenced a few times in the past but I found a listing that had a few additional sizing (+/-) options and as luck would have it, the "L-" size fits our wheel thickness quite nicely.
Just thought Id leave this here for any future reference.

Looks very nice. How was it to lace up?

It wasn't too hard, I did the baseball type stitch shown on the amazon listing rather than just a simple zigzag. Took about 1.5-2 hours. Its painless but mostly repetitive. Leather is super soft and feels much higher quality than the price suggests. very happy overall.

I put one of these on an aftermarket wheel and taped a bicycle innertube to the wheel first, then laced on the cover. It has a great feel with just a little cushion.

Thank you for posting this! This has to be the most cost-effective and attractive wrap available for our cars, and there is now NO EXCUSE for those perforated vinyl covers with the hobby craft plastic laces wrapped all over the wheel! (Please don’t get me started.)
Just curious: most installation instructions recommend putting the seam at the bottom (for both functional and aesthetic reasons). Does Aully Park suggest otherwise?
Thank you again for sharing.

That does look really nice, much better than the loosey-goosey perforated one that's been on mine since the 70's. Just ordered one, thanks for the tip!
PS what's up with that shift knob?

Yea, those foam wraps with plastic laces are garish haha. I put the stitching on top since the trend in sports cars is to mark the top center of the wheel, and thought it looked good. Its just a personal choice and doesn't affect how the cover goes on.

My friend bought me a hula girl as a joke to put on my dash so to play it up I found the Tiki Head shift knob to go with it. Don't worry, I use the original shifter most of the time but I think its fun for shows and events.

hmm, I suppose it would also help with the cover not twisting or moving over time but I thought it was soft enough as it is. That said, everyone's preference is a bit different.

The fit was a bit loose on my wheel, so I put the inner tube on to tighten up the fit. The extra cushion was a bonus (for me).

That looks amazing. Better than any other "wrap" I have seen. Maybe it's your stitching/lacing skills!? Is there a good solution to minimize the huge padded horn button? I get the purpose etc... but to me it's always looked off and a bit unnecessary.

BobD, what did you use for "tape" on the innertube, or does it matter? Great idea. And thanks ct for the tip; I just ordered one. Their perf'd wrap also looks good, but red thread isn't me.
