Hey everyone,

I needed a longer brake pushrod after replacing my master cylinder with a cheaper part meant for the Datsun 510 (common approach by other forum members - thanks for the help in my other recent thread!).

Anyway, I needed to take the threads off of the end of a 5/16" bolt and taper it down a tiny bit, and then cut it to length to make things work for the new MC. I remembered a similar technique that I used to make a cam gear retaining pin for one of my older Triumph motorcycles a few year ago. This solution is only good enough to handle whatever parts are small enough to fit into your drill chuck, but it certainly worked for this prototype!

The picture should explain it all but let me know if you need any technical details. And, you can stop laughing now!
