Depressurizing Fuel System?

Post by camronware »

How do I depressurize the fuel system to change the fuel filter? I'm used to pulling a fuse and letting it die..but how so in the roadsters?

"depressurizing"??

Unless you have an aftermarket electric fuel pump, the stock roadster fuel pump is mechanical and the fuel filter is higher than the pump. No engine running means no pressure. Grab 2 golf tees or pencils (they stil have these don't they?), unscrew the clamps and shove the tees into the lines. If you can prop them upright, you don't even need to plug them.

Two small sheet rock screws also worked well for me. Sam
