Been trying to post a video hosted on youtube to show an embedded youtube player within the 311s.org fourm.

BBCode has a special youtube tag set to make this magic happen, but it doesn't appear to work.

For example, by using the following url:

[youtube][/youtube]



then enclosing them in the [youtube][/youtube] tag, I thought it would show the basic youtube player with a still image of the video.

example:

[youtube][/youtube]

but it only shows a hyperlink to the video on Youtube, itself.

Any suggestions on how to make theyoutube BB tags work?

Edit: Sorry Dan, I can't get it to work with all the permutations I could think of.

I remember awhile back when Youtube previews would not embed. The "fix" was adding "s" after http, as in "https:"

That doesn't seem to work either. I'm sure Steve will chime in

FIXED.

The cool thing is you actually now don't even need to use the BBcode tags. The Forum simply recognizes the Youetbe url. Very cool Thank you
