All..going with honda Civic fuel tank option kindly shared by Michael S. - question I have is on the level float assembly-- stick with original one in original spot OR "graft" both the fuel pan/pump/holder AND fuel float from the Civic fuel tank? Any pros/cons for those who have "gone before me"?
I think the original float runs on 8 V from the voltage regulator - if I go with Civic one -- feed it 12V? Have not decided on gauges yet..leaning towards keeping as much of original ones as possible. Is that a factor in the level indicator/float decision?
Any other thoughts/considerations much appreciated as usual.
Michael

Re: KA 24DE swap - fuel float/sender question
Sender needs to match the gauge-- if you are keeping the stock gauges, use the stock gauge, if you are going aftermarket gauges, get the appropriate sender that matches the gauge.
You can try to get the original gauge to work with a Honda sender, but more than likely, you will just chase your tail trying to get it right.
