Foamy foam time

Curious if anybody has tried this.. snake-oil or magic beans?

Not sure how this came up last night.. i did read the original super street article when magazines were a thing...remember Turbo Magazine back in the day? Maybe a fun tpic to chat about, not something i would ever consider or attempt.

USeful in Uni-body construction for added rigidity. Not so much on a full frame car like ours.

Boy that is a perfect example of Japenglish or Chenglish- The translation is awful and I can't understand what point they are trying to get across in the description!

There was quite a bit of chatter about structural foam on Twinturbo.net a few years back.
I think the chemistry of the structural foam is different than the "squirt in" foam insulation. The structural foam is designed for filling cavities like the space between an inner and outer boat hull so it "expands to fill the void and then stops" thus avoiding buckling or splitting the hulls because of over expansion. The Great Stuff has to be used with caution (read the label) to avoid bowing door and window jambs.
Lots of discussion about water retention, corrosive attach on steel and aluminum and even effectiveness. I don't recall anyone actually proving it made any difference in the way a car drove or handled.

i did fill a door panel with “great stuff†just to stop some vibrations and deaden the sounds. worked great until it didnt stop expanding after curing.. like months later, my door panels bulged out and the windows stopped cranking. i had to open it up and remove the extra.
The structural foam idea sounds like it would work but we know the core doesnt add much, kind of like an I-beam. Or is that a rigid vs weight ratio? more material doesnt justify the added weight.

At first I thought you were talking of the intake cleaner
You sprayed in the intake and it foamed up to loosen the varnish/gunk
