Rookie 1600 owner with rookie question

Hello 311 nation! I am an exited one-week new owner of a 67 1600. It runs well and is in average to slightly above average condition with the engine running strong. But, I am not mechanically inclined (I will one day be with this car). Can someone please tell me what the pictures plastic reservoir is for. The small aluminum pipe sticking out of the plastic see through hose had fallen off and was inside the reservoir. And, after driving it for about 30 minutes, some liquid (and I think) coolant had leaked onto the floor underneath this reservoir. Which made me think that it was a coolant overflow reservoir that spewed out liquid since the small pipe came undone and the plastic hose was hanging freely out of the reservoir. But, I then started thinking that the reservoir is nothing other than for windshield washer fluid. Can anyone please steer me in the right direction. Once again, sorry that this is a rookie question and may seem silly to some of you die hard rooadster owners. I’ll get there one day. Thanks! Jimmy

That looks, nice well done!
That reservoir is indeed for the washer fluid.
If you follow the rubber hose from the radiator cap that should go to the coolant reservoir.

Thank you Nissanman! I thought as much (washer fluid), but was thrown off by a small leakage of water/ coolant under that area. Probably another minor issue to deal will. I appreciate it!!

Congrats! Yup that’s the washer fluid reservoir. To the left of that should be your coolant reservoir.

Start up a member’s ride post and add a bunch of pics and a story about the roadster. It’s always fun seeing new members and how they joined the community.
