Is it just a matter of removing the wire circlip between the valve body and shaft?
Also, is there any loose parts such as a seal or spring inside the body which may end up popping out and never to be found again?
The valve stem has to be replaced because the end where the knob connects has been broken off.
I will have plenty of time this winter to either machine up a new valve shaft or braze on a new end for a knob.
Oh yeah.... what type of end is required for the knob to be attached?
(i.e. plain shaft, squared end, 2 flats, tapped hole, threaded end? )
If a pic or dwg of the end can be made available, it would be appreciated.
