Hello from eastern Washington

Hello everyone. I've been interested in building a restomod roadster for a while and I think the Datsun speaks to me the most of all the options of the period. There's a pair of 67 bodies and parts lot on CL near me that I'm eyeballing, but it looks like an extensive job and missing a lot of small parts so maybe I should hold out longer. The metalwork doesn't bother me, I'm a millwright by trade, but I think this route could get very expensive.

As I noted on your other post, I would move on and see if you can find a better example.

Probably a much better starting point. It's a lot farther than I really want to travel though.

Here's one in Spokane. It's been on CL for a while, $2000 might buy it.

I live in Colton,WA, south of Pullman, and have a '69 sr20 resto mod Happy to help with your project!

Pat

That car is hundreds of miles ahead of the other two!

I was reading the other thread on that car and the seller's behavior is outputting, I usually steer clear of deals like that but I might not hurt to float an offer I guess.

Being part of that thread, I would not want to dissuade you from considering that car. When I spoke with the owner, I wasn't concerned about her honesty. I think they probably have had a reality check as to the car's value since their original listing.

Dan "Fetch" has looked at the car. He might be able to offer you some insight as to it's condition. Being a '70 1600 with unknown engine issues, could make it a good candidate for a swap/resto-mod. Looks like most of the pieces are there.

FWIW,

Pat
