I am starting to plan a project. I would like to start on a engine swap project. I am looking at potential engines as good potential engine candidates. I have run across a good Genesis turbo engine with a 6 speed. I have been told that these are good robust engines and they have 274 hp. Should make my little Roadster haul.
Has anyone done this type of swap? Looking for some opinions.
Thanks

A friend of mine has one and I looked at it with the same thought, but it looks way too wide to fit. Doesn't mean it can't be done, but be prepared for more extensive frame/engine bay modifications. But that's my "eyeball" test from a few years ago.

I briefly looked this engine as well but was detoured by the issues with the intake valves and the lawsuits pertaining to this motor. I believe there has been a recall issued for the engines as well, but I’m not sure. I thought it would fit though it might be a bit tall. If you can find a motor that has had the issues fixed then yeah I think it would be a cool motor for a roadster and there not that expensive. But otherwise I would look in another direction.
Just my 2 cents
Hope it helps
