New to the forum and been looking for a while now. Would some of the you please look at this car's pics and tell me what you think. It was still available recently and I would have to fly to PHX from DFW to inspect. Thanks for your time. Cheers.

Hard to say whats behind flat black paint and blurry If you want to rake it to original, youll need seats and console part
Lots of wear but if it runs and drives well, its worth at least $5k.

be careful a lot of the ads that say the seller is posted overseas and the car is in storage are scams. I've seen three or four ads like that on craigslist. One of them even used the name of a national geographic photographer, said he was on assignment photographing whales.

I had the same person contact me when I was selling my '68 1600. It's sad how many honest people get scammed by these type of people. Anything that sounds too good to be true typically is a scam.

I will fly out and verify. Have already spoken with the owner who sent me 4 videos of the car running so it sounds legit for the moment. Can anyone recommend an inspection service?

Seems overpriced to me. For $6900, I would think you would get a decent running car with correct parts. He says "Electric, suspension and breaks are good. The engine, manual trans and clutch are good." I wonder why he doesn't say that it drives? There might be something that isn't good.

Again, re inspection.
Why not advertise, ask for help from a roadster owner in Arizona.

Almost ANY person can deliver a report,

But a knowledgable owner knows where to look for rust and damage in the usual places, plus check on the more esoteric, correctness of additions, modifications etc.

At least have a comprehensive set of photos sent to you for publication on 311 and thus comments from the community.

And the willingness of the seller to comply will give you some sense of his integrity

Just my $.02

It would be good to have pics of the places where they rust.
